ECOLOGICAL DESIGN

Native Species & Dense Urban Pockets

Every tree planted through the Indore pilot is ecologically chosen: Peepal, Neem, Banyan, Jamun, and Karanj. These species withstand seasonal temperature swings, nourish native birds, and purify high-traffic air corridors.

High bio-diversity clusters adapted to Malwa climate
Sub-surface root development and clay-pot moisture retention
Towering native trees and green urban forest canopy reaching toward sunlight
HUMAN GUARDIANSHIP

Empowered Local Protectors

Plantation drives often fail because trees are left orphaned. Paryavaran Mitras are trained local ward guardians who oversee designated trees, ensuring daily watering, physical fence inspections, and emergency pest care.

Structured bi-weekly inspection rounds across Indore zones
Direct community accountability led by Shri Sevadeep Foundation
Dedicated community guardians planting and securing a tree
TRANSPARENT TECHNOLOGY

Every Tree ID, Coordinate & Time Logged

We replace vague corporate claims with tamper-proof records. Every sapling receives a unique digital identifier, high-precision GPS coordinates, and periodic visual health logs accessible in the public registry.

Publicly searchable tree registry with timestamped photo records
Mobile companion app for field reporting and health status
High-precision aerial canopy density and geo-tag mapping in Indore
LONG-TERM SURVIVAL

From Sapling to Mature Canopy

A tree’s critical window is its first 24 months. Our survival protocol guarantees protective tree guards against urban livestock, summer drip schedules, and replacement planting if ground stress occurs.

Sturdy metal/mesh tree guards for roadside and open field plantings
Multi-season monitoring with corrective interventions
Protected plantation plot with mesh tree guards

STEWARDSHIP TIMELINE

From Fragile Sapling to Self-Sustaining Canopy

A tree’s survival is decided in its first two years. Explore how our structured care protocol protects every native sapling through its three vital lifecycle phases.

PHASE 01 • MONTHS 0 TO 6

Root Anchoring & Moisture Protocol

Native species (Peepal, Banyan, Neem, Jamun) are planted in prepared soil enriched with organic compost. Porous sub-surface clay pots provide consistent moisture directly to the root zone, preventing shock during Indore’s dry intervals.

Hydration Frequency
Twice-weekly deep root soaking
Digital Record
GPS tagging & Tree ID generation
Species Selection
Drought-tolerant Malwa native flora
Guardian Check
Weekly stem & foliage audit
Delicate young sapling receiving root establishment care
PHASE 02 • MONTHS 6 TO 24

Armored Protection & Trunk Strengthening

The critical vulnerability period. Sturdy welded tree guards protect the sapling from urban cattle and vehicular disturbance, while Paryavaran Mitras perform bi-weekly pruning, aeration, and seasonal pest prevention.

Physical Defense
Heavy-gauge welded tree-guard
Mitra Patrol
Bi-weekly photo audit on mobile app
Survival Target
94% benchmark with replacement pledge
Canopy Height
Progressing from 3ft to 8ft+
Protected saplings encased in sturdy tree guards along Indore plantation corridor
PHASE 03 • MONTHS 24 AND BEYOND

Self-Sustaining Urban Micro-Forest

Roots penetrate deep into the natural water table. The tree guard is safely relocated to new saplings. The mature tree actively sequesters airborne particulates, lowers local surface heat, and shelters native birds in Indore’s urban sanctuary.

Ecological State
Fully self-sustaining deep root system
Air Filtration
Active PM2.5 & dust interception
Micro-Climate
2°C–4°C ambient shade cooling
Public Registry
Permanent traceable legacy record
Thick lush mature canopy crowns creating enduring urban green cover in Indore

WHY PARYAVARAN PRAHRI

Environmental responsibility built into an everyday decision.

Paryavaran Prahri is a movement and environmental responsibility system, not simply a tree-plantation project.

PILLAR 01

From Participation to Action

Turn an everyday journey into environmental action. Connect eligible vehicle-insurance participation with structured environmental contribution, plantation and locally delivered action.

PILLAR 02

From Planting to Guardianship

Planting is only the beginning. Watering, protection, maintenance, monitoring and corrective action continue beyond plantation to support long-term stewardship.

PILLAR 03

From Claims to Evidence

Make every action visible and traceable. Understand what happened, where it happened, when it happened and what happened afterwards through documented records and field evidence.

The Core Movement: Paryavaran Prahri is not only about planting trees. It is about building a culture of environmental responsibility where participation becomes action, action becomes evidence, and evidence becomes continued stewardship.

THE COMPLETE JOURNEY

From Insurance Participation to Environmental Impact

A structured pathway connecting an insurance journey with environmental contribution, plantation, evidence and continued stewardship.

01

INSURE

An eligible vehicle-insurance participation creates the starting point for the Paryavaran Prahri journey.

02

FUND

An approved environmental contribution enters the programme and supports eligible plantation and stewardship activities.

03

PLANT

Responsible field teams identify suitable locations, consider applicable site requirements and carry out plantation activities.

04

GEO-TAG

Plantation activity is connected with a Tree ID, location, date and field photographs creating a record that can be traced and reviewed.

05

NURTURE

Planting is only the beginning. Watering, protection, maintenance and condition checks continue after plantation.

Association Model: Every eligible 4-wheeler insurance policy is associated with 5 trees, while every eligible 2-wheeler insurance policy is associated with 1 tree through the Paryavaran Prahri programme.

INDORE PILOT

A national idea, taking root in Indore.

The first controlled pilot is designed to test the complete system before wider replication. Indore is the first city in which Paryavaran Prahri is being developed as a working pilot.

INDORE ZONE 01 • CORRIDOR PILOT

Protected Urban Tree Sanctuaries Across Indore

Realized on public corridors and municipal plantation clusters under daily oversight from trained local Paryavaran Mitras.

TEST FRAMEWORK 01 & 02

Participation & Delivery

Understand how people engage with the model and how environmental action moves from commitment to field implementation.

TEST FRAMEWORK 03 & 04

Evidence & Technology

Test documentation, geo-tagging, digital field records, and learn from real-world app and field use.

TEST FRAMEWORK 05 & 06

Stewardship & Scaling

Understand what continued care requires and improve the model before responsible replication. Indore is the beginning, not the destination.
